 The A-TEAM

Meet the A-TEAM

Meet our frontrunners, feet to the pedals, awe-inspiring Volunteer Ambassador team.

A community of runners, riders and roamers, just like you, the A-TEAM are a committed team of volunteers who donate their time and effort to represent Trash Free Trails and support our mission across all our programmes, bringing their passion for making a positive impact to their local trails and communities. They share your insights from your trails and wild places with us, helping to co-create our programmes and projects.

Our A-TEAMers work in partnership with Community Hubs and their local group of TrashMobbers to do a little bit more to protect our trails and wild places. In return they receive direct support from HQ and the A-TEAM Programme Partners, as well as a place in the core of our ecosystem. The A-TEAM not only help us deliver our projects; they are crucial to crafting our actions, values and mission.

This lot are the heart and soul of our organisation. Without them, we couldn’t, shouldn’t and wouldn’t exist.

If you’ve got some ideas but aren’t sure where to start, take a look and see who’s closest to you. Simply hit their picture and fire them a message - this lot love to natter about all things TFT.

Can I be an A-TEAMer?

YES YOU CAN!

As our A-TEAM expands internationally, we’re keen to find more passionate and dedicated individuals to help us achieve our mission. If you think this might be you, get in touch with Rich on rich@trashfreetrails.org

We take interest in joining our Ambassador team on a rolling basis. Instead of it being a formal application process, we instead want you to have some time to get to know us, the mission, and our wider work - that way you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into! We have a very handy equation to help with this:

TIME + TOIL (TEA) = TRUST

Building mutual trust is crucial to our A-TEAM, and those who have been with us for a while will be the first to tell you it takes time spent together, getting your hands dirty and rewarding yourselves with a warm cuppa (or a pint!) to form that.

This might mean a couple of virtual chats, coming along to one of our events, or meeting with current A-TEAMers to learn more about their experience.

All A-TEAMers are invited to sign our A-TEAM Charter, which outlines the role, commitments and our shared values. To become an A-TEAMer you will be required to be 18+ and complete an Enhanced DBS Check, to support you when working with young people and vulnerable adults.

Our A-TEAM programme wouldn't be possible without the support our partner Endura. The programme is supported by Pedal MTB, WTB, Forestry England, Fenwick's and Squire.
