  • Folks can choose which section they'd like to join in, varying in length and difficulty

• Terrain: Naturally this is a walking challenge with some steep ascents/descents. Sections 3 and 4 are the flattest yet undulating. Note there is a scramble up Pen-y-Ghent (section 1) which is the most challenging section, especially if wet. 

• What do I need to bring?

  • Anything from snacks to bikes!

  • Wear walking shoes, especially if it is raining, as limestone can be slippery.

  • Snacks/ lunch/ water/ there is a cafe open from 10 at Horton station run by volunteers with cakes, coffee and some sandwiches.

  • Horton has 2 pubs open at lunch time and a Co-op in Settle on the way if driving.

  • Bring sun cream and waterproofs.

  • Note phone signal is not great in some spots, so don't rely on it for navigation.
